If you pay prior to going to Borovets, you will expect to pay £146 for the full ski package which includes skis, boots, poles, ski pass and 18 hours of lessons. ou may pay more if you arrange over there.
I personaly would def pay for ski packs before you go for the beginners/intermediate its generally much cheaper if they decide its not for them you can always get a few hours private tuition, they can keep all the gear regardless of if having lessons or not, my friends who do not need lessons and do not have any kit always book the beginner classes just to get the pass and kit cheaper than in the resort.
our tour operator was charging
£177 for the full ski pack, and £85 each for pass, and lessons individually + 60 for ski and boot hire individually.
We got 1 ski pack, 1 pass and lessons (saving all of £7 over taking hire as well!), one pass and hire, and one pass only.
I've just thought that maybe we could have gotten away with getting a 2nd ski pack and her giving her hire to my mate rather than him getting the hire separately.
