Borovets - What else is there

Hi everyone

I am back up on the piste on Jan 28th 2006. I got my Father in Law coming with me and he is not a skier. Does anyone know if their are any walks that go on as he is a walker in any weather. If so can you please let me know.

Cheers

Simon

re: Borovets - What else is there

persuade him to book a 'learn to ski' pack, if he walks he must love the outdoors and if he joins a beginners group he'll love it as the scenery is great on the slopes and the instructors are brilliant and don't push you to do anything you can't do.

re: Borovets - What else is there

Make sure whatever you do, he gets a lift pass. You can take the Sitnayarovo express chair lift and walk the 6km down - many people do and also you can take the gondola and walk around at the top there too.

You are not allowed on the 4 man chair opposite the Rila unless with skis or board - no walkers, but the Sitnayarovo is a good walk and he'll meet lots of other walkers on that route - he could walk up it rather than down - it's a very gentle green run.

You can walk and hike different roads in Borovez with different difficult levels. You can book some hikes with a guide, ask in the samokov hotel.

Or ask me...

P.S. I never skied only hike
