I hope we finally make it to Boro on Sat., we've had 3 separate last-minute cancellations and not much left to choose from. In case we do make it, do we take cash or cards? Do they accept CCs for the ski-passes?We ended up going to the Royal Plaza apartments, (anyone been there?) and I don't think they have a parking, where could we park in Borovets securely?

You can pay for ski hire etc with a credit card but most things are best paid for by cash.
Take about £50 in lev to get you started before going to a bank or more if you are paying for transfer from airport to resort.
Main banks are in the Rila, Samokov and Flora Hotels. Cash point outside Rila. It's best to change newish sterling notes. These are the safest places to change money and are open long hours.

Borogirl, thanks!Unfortunately Mark, yes, same one. Booked one hotel in Pamps, was advised by this site to change, found another hotel in Borovets, told it was full a week later by a local agency, booked and paid a third hotel in Boro and was told yesterday, 3pm to come pick up my money as there was no room there. And that's the short of it.
