Borovets- 7th March

Anyone heading to Borovets on the 7th of March?

Theres 2 of us going from Manc for our 1st snowboarding holiday so hopefully everythings good!

Should we be optimistic for good snow in march? Iv heard mixed reviews for the current conditions so fingers crossed!

Staying at the lion hotel which is suppose to be quite nice! Also does anyone recommend we exchange money in the UK or change it at the resort?

Hi Stu

Lion Hotel is lovely, stayed there twice now. Pool and sauna are great at the end of a long day on the slopes. Food is okay - lots of stews, spuds and veg to fill up on. Breakfast is plentiful, lots to chose from. Bar can get very full, as you're a distance away from anywhere else, but plenty of sofas and the open fire is heavenly...

Take some levs with you to see you over the first day or so then either take Sterling and change, or use your cashcard in the ATM's.

Hey, im going from Manc on the 7th March flights at 13:15 i think.. but going Skiing and staying at the Samokov. See you on the Slopes
p.s Anyone know if goggles or glasses are better, buying few last bits.

Hi Stu,
Me and my guy are flying out to Borovets that day.....first time skiers!!! Staying in the Rila Hotel.
Hopefully there will be plenty of snow for us.

Iv been advised to bring both but my mate who snowboards regularly says he ends up just wearing glasses.

Yes well see you at the airport and on the slopes

Are you on your own or with a group of people Shell?

Hi Guys im flying same on the 7th be nice to meet some fellow brits as im travelling on my own ha slightly depressing but hay. im flying at 13.15 too so hopefully meet u guys at some point

Heyaaaa everyone
There is 6 of us going staying at Samakov second time this year !!!
went there 9-16th of Jan ..the weather was pretty much same as it is now but it was still brilll !! loads of places to go my fav is Black Tiger (opposite Rila hotel), Titanic, Franko's and Buzz bar woop woop
We should all meet up !!

6 of us (boarders) are heading out on the 6th staying in the Rila, we'll make sure not to drink the place dry you guys.
