Hi Everyone. My wife and I have been to Borovets twice but we thought we might try Bansko this year. Any thoughts on how the two compare ? Thanks.

Do you know what, this question comes up at least once a year 
You will find those who like Boro and those who like Bansko, Boro perhaps attracting a younger crowd who prefer to be hotel based, and want the hardcore nightlife, and snow on your doorstep. Bansko perhaps attracts more families, apartment based, and more restaurant and Mehana nightlife...
Not saying that both can't be found in either resort, but its what they will concentrate on...

The skiing is similar in standard, but the lift system is better in Bansko, and maybe better connected pistes... I am not going to start a Boro/Bansko war (like that has never happened), both have their benefits, give Bansko a go, you will not be disappointed, then perhaps you will be in a better position to make an informed decision, and become one of the pro-Boro or pro-Bansko brigade
Me personally i like both, for different reasons, but then i only have to drive a couple of hours to get to Boro....
