Hi. Coming to Borovets on the 13th March for my first time. Sounds like the snow might be hit and miss, fingers crossed!

I've read on the boards that people recommend booking ski pass and equipment hire before hand, my travel agents Inghams are quoting about £175 for the week, is that a good price? I had been told it is dirt cheap to just get it out there, but the information on these boards suggest otherwise.

If anyone else is there around that time and fancy meeting up let me know. And if anyone can recommend the good nightlife places that would be appreciated!

Thats around the normal price for an agent and normally it would make sense to book it before you go. But, this year with the conditions who knows. In January you could get quite a cheap lift pass as only a few runs were open so you bought a pass just for those runs/lifts when you wanted to use them. If you look at hire prices though for the equipment on its own, then add in possible pass prices depending on whats open it may well work out near enough the same. With a package you don't have to faff around, its all included whether you use it or not. Personally I would probably cough up for the package for convenience sake and hope for the best conditions. It's still a good deal compared to other resorts. Loads of nightlife - depends on your taste and where the people you meet there go! If I get out in March on that date I'll look you up.
