Borovets 1st March

Hi, well me and the family are off to Borovets on the 1st March, none of us have been skiing before apart from myself on a dry slope !! really just going for the kids so they can get some real snow, they are aged 3, any tips or advice for things to do other than ski, yes i know its a ski resort and we will be doing plenty of it, just looking for other ideas.

Cheers

Hi Paul

Went to Borovets last year and at the bottom of the nursery slope is a creche and all the kids were learning how to ski and the mums and dads could join an adult class.
My daughter (grown up) and myself are going back the same week as you this year. You should have great fun.

Outside the Rila, on the main slope, you can hire toboggans and play all evening as the floodlights are on for night skiing. Mine have also built many a snowman there - make sure it's to one side! Adults can sit to one side drinking!!

There's bowling at the Samokov Hotel but book, it's only small and very popular. They have a bowling aid for kids.

Swimming - Rila is cheapest and warmest. No modesty in changing rooms!!

In Rila and Samokov Hotels, you can leave kids to paint a choice of ceramics. Mine did an hour everyday after skiing and then presented me with much loved items I had to carefully wrap to get home!

Skidooing £70 per person, half price children. Helmets provided, adult drives!

Ski kindergarten at Rila Hotel - a lovely English grandmother from Essex called Elaine in charge. They come out and ski twice a day with instructors. Haven't see any tears but depends on the child.

Walk down to the village and see the frozen fountain. They usually play in the snow on the way. There's also horse riding - never done this - no time!

I'm sure you AND the children will have a great time. Very Happy Very Happy

Sorry - I meant 70 lv NOT £70.

Instructors can sometimes get a few pounds cheaper.
