Our partt consists of 2 couples, i am the only one who has skied before. We are all going to have lessons, so i am after an ide of how long they last. Also how much free time skiing we have got during the day after the lessons?
Final query for now is - i have had a knee op so am concerned about how the knee will cope, i think blades will be better for my knee and wondering if i will be better off renting/buying ...
Just after some advice.

P,S. Looking to book in the Iglika Palace - i have read it is a decent place to stay!!
Hello TJ,
Group lessons normally go for 4 hours, 2 before lunch and 2 after. They start around 1Oam.Finish around 2pm, but this all depends on your instructor and everyone in your group.Last ride on the Gondola is around 4.15pm, so this will give you a couple of hours after your lessons.
Have a good one, and go easy on that knee of yours.

The Iglika is a great small friendly hotel, stayed there twice before and going back for a 3rd time. Shame they've gone from 12% lager down to just 5% on draught
The lessons are really down to yourselves and your instructor. We've met up about 10 some times and others at 8.30, but we had a real enthuastic fun instructor, that we've already "booked" for next year Generrally you'll start about 10, lunch around 12-1, then back out an hour later for a couple of hours. You can then ski for as long as the lifts remain open between about 4:30 and 5. They've had night skiing in the past for a few Lev extra, but not sure if it'll be on this year.
Sorry pp,
You seem to be getting up on the wrong side of bed on a regular basis, take A HAPPY PILL or TWO!!!.
Excuse me for forgetting about a lunch break.

Hi TJ, I have a 'dodgy' knee as well but have not had an op yet but will be getting one in the future. Every year i always think 'what about skiing?' but it does not stop me from getting on the ski's. I wear a good support on my knee and just take it easy on the slopes. The worst thing to do is think about something bad happening. Enjoy it and dont think about it, you will love Borovets!!
not sure on blades but snow boards etc and clothes i found cheap there altho do not expect a massive shopping centre full of them, just lots of little shacks.
see you there on the 20th staying in the rila that week.
ps the lessons are totaly flexy, we did lessons in the morn and left the afternoon so as we could be with mates last year the instructors are very good
