Hi guys

Just an update.
We got back from a really good week in Borovets. We stayed in the Rila hotel which was really good. The food isn't great, school dinners comes to mind...
We had the improver snowboarder and had a really good instructor from Borosport. (If anyone has Peter as a snowboard instructor tell him say hi! He probably won't remember as he teaches so man people!) We were all on the same level and he paid attention to those of us who struggled. We had the option of staying on for another 3 days but chose not to.
We got 2.41 levs - £1.00 from M&S, but the rate when we went out was 2.76 from the bank in the Rila hotel. You can exchange money out there - the exchange rate seems to be better! Just don't exchange with any Tom, Dick or Harry.
Prices have risen about 30% since last year and it wasn't as cheap as we'd expected! Most beers are about 4 - 5 lev, best go for Bulgarian beer. Imported is more deer, as expected. Get your water from the shop in the Rila hotel - avoid getting it from the bars unless you like spending money!!
Most of the locals expect a tip, so don't be surprised if you don't get any change. Try and give the correct amount if you don't feel a tip is necessary. We also got ripped off during lunch, so make sure how much your meals & drinks cost you, otherwise they just give you a random figure.
They don't spare any salt for us on the roads - it gets really icy! Remember to take shoes with a good grip. Good luck if you're taking stilletos!!
We preferred the Chilli Peppers bar - happy hour from 3-6pm and they have a local rock band from 4-7pm weekdays. They do really good Jimi Hendrix and Red Hot Chilli Peppers covers!! Buzz Bar has Happy Hour for most of the day and they had loud music - we couldn't really talk to each other and we were mostly drunk by 9 so we didn't get to see what it was like later.
We went ski-dooing on the last day as our passes were only 4 6 days. We paid 100 levs each for a ski-doo each, which we got from a mates ski instructor. Not sure if we paid too much, but it was awesome!!!!

I think that's all, but will update if I remember anything!!

Have a fantastic time out there! Wish i was still out there.
