I'm looking for a place to go snowboarding, with my son, he's 15 and I'm 40 but we'll be fighting over the same birds (he likes em older and I like em younger!!)
So what's Borovets got to offer for snowboarding and snowboard hire?? How much can I expect to pay and can I book equipment in advance? Any suggestions, info from experienced Borovians most welcome. I'm also thinking of buying a place in Bulgaria, seen loads of ad's, anybody got any advice where's best for winter/summer seasons??
Well this is my second time to Boro, I useally hire from the travel agent, as they do special offers normally around £150 you can get equipment hire, lift pass and tuition in a package.

Lessons on the other hand can be cheaper if you speak to the instructors directly. one on one lessons for a day can be found for as little as £20 - £30 which is amazing compared to places such as France etc. Try looking at Airtours website for typically costings for hire etc, as they get discounts for bulk buying these items, if you are thinking of going there without using a travel agent, then I would suggest buying the passes etc through a hotel, I can only suggest to try phoning the Rila or Samakov for advice, as these are the larger / more professional / helpful hotels.
dumptruck jnr - your friend sounds like an arse. "late nite ladies" - tragic. what's the point in going to a ski resort? if STDs are your thing, you can get yourself a gnarly prostitute anywhere! do yourself a favour, just get rid of your skis and stay at home. christ! skiers wind up boarders enough as it is without you adding yourself to the equation.
