I have stayed at the Samakov hotel for the last 3 years and on the whole I am quite pleased with the hotel.I was thinking of changing hotels this year, does anyone rate the accomodation and food for the Lion or Iglika hotels?
Also which ski schools do they use?
Any help would be appreciated as I will be booking my holiday this weekend.

We stayed at the Lion last year, brilliant facilities. Food good. End of the day this is Bulgaria so you can't expect fantastic, but we had everything we needed - full english every morning, each evening always a selection - both salad and hot dishes.
Would recommend to anyone.
Not been to Iglika so cannot comment on that.
Having said that we have booked th Rila this year - purley and simpl because of the walk in a morning or relying on the minibus. But to be honest it wasn't that ...

just come back from Borovets (1 hour ago!) have stayed at rila and flora in the past but went to Moura this week, it was great a lot more personal than the rila, its only 200 yds from the gondola but a longer treck to lower slopesre: Borovets Hotels
Munster was the hotel good ie food and beer. Also what school and ski depot do you operate from. We have stayed in samokov last four years got a good deal on Moura so going to give it a whirl, any info much appricieated
