Borovets Lifts / Conditions Update - December 18th

Morning!
Not an amazing start to the season, but here goes....!!!
All of Yastrebets lifts / pistes are currently closed as is the Gondola.... There is not enough snow to ski the Markudjik slopes anyway, but Yastrebets slopes are in perfect condition with snow cannons running again all night and the piste bashers back out....the problem is high winds which means they can't work the lifts. They wil try and get these on later, but will update you!
On the Rila side, the Rila 4 man ...

On the Rila side, the Rila 4 man chair is working (you can see on the webcams) but only Martinovi 2 is open - the other rila reds / black are closed. Skiing / conditions on here are very good but a bit icy at the moment.
The Sitnyakovo Express is open - but only for the beginners slope at the top of it - obviously the drag on here is working as welll.
The 3 Rila beginners runs are all open - so any beginners coming out will be fine!

Update:They are hoping to open Yastrebets Express shortly as the wind appears to be dying down, but they can't confirm.

New update... I am now in Borovets and it is extremely windy - to the point where signs are falling down, glass has broken and the yastrebets express will defo not work. The Rila 4 man is working at the moment but will struggle to stay open.
We're sat in Mamacita's at the moment (hiding from the wind!) - they have moved buildings this year, totally refurbed the new building and have the same menu and the same chef, which is fab news as it's one of my favourite restaurants!

new webcam up top looks as if all the snow on the Markudjik slopes has been blown off.( new webcams fab by the way!!)what are your thoughts on that Kas and Bobby??
hopefully not another disaster like last yesr up there!

keep the snow coming!hopefully Bobby & Kas will get the web cam sorted soon- although id take the snow first!
