Borovets Open?

Hi, can anyone tell me if Borovets Ski have opened? Im quite concerned as we're due to head off there on the 23rd for a week - but there doesn't look like any snow at the moment

The webcam picture that you can see is right at the bottom of the mountain. Higher up there is snow.

weather forcast changes all the time, was suppose to be 55+ on saturday bu its gone down since then!

Im sure it'll be ok tho, bloody ope so anyway as i'll be there n dont wana be wrecking me new blades on slushy snow!!! lol

Yes the gondola is open for the higher slopes.Markujik run is operating.

hi,
phew re web cam being at the bottom of mountain and that there is snow there.

my friends and i are going skiing to borovets on the 26th, can anyone tell me if the slopes which are open for skiing like Markujik are for beginners too? or maybe name me one for beginners which is open right now.

yes i think up on Markudjik there is another slope i believe it's called Suhar or Sumar which is marked as easy so i hope us beginners will be able to ski...fall...ski...fall

What i don't know as yet is whether we should book our sessions with a ski school directly now before we come to borovets or when we are over there

Beeee....we've booked our ski lessons through bulgariaski (this website) and I found it relatively cheap. I think its slightly more when you book it while you are there. As I found this was the case when we went skiing in Andorra..
