Borovets Q&A

One more sleep yay !! (well if I can I need snow)


Has anyone flown back over the last couple of days? Are all of the lifts working and slopes open around Hotel Rila?

Whats it been like first time to bulgaria?

i flew back last saturday, enjoyed it very much, lots of skiing, lots of food, lots of drinking..

all lifts and stuff were open and plenty plenty of snow........

Hotel Rila is a very good place to stay cause it right on the dorstep of the four man chair lift and some other drag and chair lifts..

Cool ty for that. Did you stay in the rila ?? Is it as bad as everyone says?? I thought 4* should be atleast and english 2-3 * but people have been slating it and others have said its okay?? Who to trust?? Obviously too late now fly out in 18 hrs :-)

we went for the first time at xmas and it was great,Borovets was a lively little place but good food and good drink and no trouble.We were 1st time skiers(me,wife and 9yr old daughter) and our only complaint was that sometimes the hotel(iglika) was too hot,but the skiing was great and that was what we went for basically,and the place is a lot cheaper than other european ski resorts so ENJOY

i stayed in the samokov and a lot of people slated that, i quite enjoyed it and it is probably equiv. to 2/3* in the uk or a spanish holiday....the food aint too great, but that said for everywhere for hotels in bulgaria...there is plenty of choice of food though....after all you`ll be skiing all the time not staying in the hotel...enjoy it, its a great little place..

Rila is great, best place to be, great views from balcony, were there last week, 1st timers with family. rooms warm, clean and comfy, close to everything,. food adequate, cold sometimes , great salads, breakfasts good. no complaints. have booked to go back next year.
