Off to Borovets for a week of boarding this SAT (first time). Cant wait, can you help me with some Q's please……

1. I'm hiring boots and board are they yours for the week or do you have to return them every day?
2. I heard the queues can get busy for picking up hired equipment, what time do they open in the morning so that I can beat the queues and get on with my boarding lessons?

4. Can you hire helmet and wrist supports? (first time so unsure whether I should get some, just incase I decide to throw my head into the slopes.)
5. What are the queues like for the lifts?
6. Why and how often do they shut the gondola lift, is there only one gondola and how long does it take to climb the mountain and how many people does it hold?
6. If I wanted to go sight seeing at the top of the mountains is this possible without taking my board, and can I get on the lifts to come back down??
7. Are all the pubs and food places close to the Samokov and what pubs are the best?
8. Will my Orange mobile work out there?

Thanks if your answering

re: Borovets Question's

Return them every day, but you are issued the same ones next day

Lessons start at 10am - you can normally get equipment from 9am

The hire place will be in the basement of the Samokov

You can't get hire helmet and wrist guards

Queues vary from day to day - gondola takes the longest and can be up to 45 mins

The gondola will shut in high winds and poor visibility. There is only one gondola and it takes approx 25 mins to the top station - however, a report yesterday said there ...

Yes - you can get the gondola or the Sitinkyavo chairlift to the top (two different areas) and walk back down or wander around and come back the way you came

The Samokov is in the centre of resort - opposite the Gondola. Good places are White Magic, Katys Steak House, Blue, Happy Duck etc

Yes - provided your phone is ok for roaming, your Orange Mobile will work out there - but you may find it easier to go to the phone shop in the Samokov and buy yourself a pay as you go SIM card and use that instead - much cheaper
