Borovets Restaurants

Off to Borovets this Saturday from Gatwick, staying at the Samokov. It is our first time skiing. Can anyone give us a list of nice places to eat. We have children with us who are very fussy about their food!!! Thanks

Blue - opposite Black Cat, Sunny Pizza - opposite Samokov both are very good. Don't forget White Magic too.

If you are with Ski School, you will go out with your instructor at lunchtime and they will always take you to a good restaurant. We went to the place at the bottom of the 6km green - I think it was Bistro - they did a wonderful Chicken Karvarma...

best place to eat in Boro, Katy,s steak house, then places like Titanic, white magic, ice angels hotel, however must dissagree with samantha i found the food in mamacitas very bad, i orderd chicken tacos and they were filled with mash potato, very bland, over priced. the waiter did reduce the bill by 8 lev as i complained but still nothing like a real mexican resturant.
My advice, stay clear of the chinese, mexican, as they can all be bland.

We liked the Avalanch which is on the slopes just opposite the Rila. The advantage of there is that it is right on the slope which meant the children could quite happily wander in and out bumboarding etc and if we sat in the window could see what they were up to! Nice log fire too and friendly staff and a great ham lagagne which I still haven't managed to replicate for my fussy son!

Francos Pizza is also a big hit with the kids and adults alike. I like the Flying Jacob which is a chicken dish with peanuts and the kids really love the pizzas and pasta dishes.

My 2 also love the freshly made crepes in the Samakov bar.

You will find planty of suitable places for families especially early evening.

Dont forget Venice in front of Rila as well, nice food in there, and often has live music by local duo (not too loud tho).
