Borovets Snow Cannons

Morning,
could someone tell me when the snow cannons can operate? does it have to be perfect conditions i.e. between 0 and -2 or something? im only asking because if the weather stays at + temps can the cannons still work to guarantee skiing?

In Borovets the cannons only work at -4 and below, however even that is not a 'clean' answer. The slopes in front of the Rila are lower than the Yastrebets and popangelov slopes and so you often see the cannons on these slopes working when the Rila ones aren't. I understand you can get cannons working at warmer temps, but the ones on the Boro slopes only operate from -4 (per ski guide we were using at Christmas).

You will be fine - only problem could be boredom of doing same slopes all the time. Good/bad thing about the current weather is that the slopes change condition quite a lot during the day - start on good stuff and then gets more challenging/icy later on - good practice. Also consider the night skiing - less crowds and pistes have been 'bashed' so in good condition.

What else to do? Booze Booze? Also try to get down into Samakov and try some of the bars and restaurants down there. ...
