Hi All,I am organising a stag snowboading trip to Borovets next year. I'm trying to save the party money and put the package together myself but I wanted to ask some advise on where to stay etc from people who know the resort. Also is there a cheap transfer service from Sofia to the resort?

Well you can use Hunters for the transfer. I've been using them the past few years and I've not had any problems. I'm sure the following email will get you to them

With regard to where to stay then it depends on if you want to stay in or out of the resort or even if you want to be centre or ten mins walk and if you want a chalet, apartment or hotel and the level of service eg b&b, half board or self catering. How many ...

With regard to where to stay then it depends on if you want to stay in or out of the resort or even if you want to be centre or ten mins walk and if you want a chalet, apartment or hotel and the level of service eg b&b, half board or self catering. How many of you going and so on.
For sure if you want top make it cheaper then don't go between Feb 15th to 22nd as that's half term and the week prior to that may be a little more too.
Generally you will get a lot of responses from this forum but it's a bit quiet at this time of year

Thanks for your reply. I will speak to Hunters about the transfer. The date has been set for the Weekend Starting 31st Jan so we should miss half term. There will be a group of 10-15 I think of different experience levels. A chalet could be fun are these genrally more expensive? I think we want to be reasonalby close to the Night Life so nobody gets lost staggering home

You could contact Kas who is a regular and moderator on the board. She can arrange the whole package for you and as they run one of the best bars in resort I am sure they can make it a great Stag week for you. Fancy dress etc etc bar crawls, bar games. Mirror what Wendy (nightmuffy) says regarding Kas and her ability to arrange things, I also believe that they (Kas and Bobby) were planning on running an Indian restaurant next season too along with the bar but this may not have been confirmed. I'm not sure that if you want to stay in the resort that there will be any chalets suitable for a group that large but the week that you plan to go should give you plenty of choice for hotels and aparthotels. Whilst the resort caters well for families ...

That is of course assuming you are planning on a stereotypical celebration

I would think also that it would be available that week...... Sleeps 14 but think can accommodate more. All boys together and only 50mtrs from the gondola.re:Borovets Stag

. Thanks for all your help guys... sorry to be dumb but is Gondola one of the slopes? Never even been skiing before so total noob to it all.

Scott, the Gondola is the cable car that takes you to the top of the mountain!
But you don't have to go on it as there is skiing in resort.

Hi Scott,We helped organised a stag doo for a friend last year and also for 3 other stag-doos. We managed to find them a far cheaper deal than if they had done it themselves. There are numerous options in the resort and around that time it will be easy to find a good deal.
