I have just got back from Boro in the early hours of Sunday morning (Manchester fight was 2 1/2 hours late). Holiday was a great success. Resort better than expected, maybe not as 'good' as many French resorts but you get what you pay for. Everything in resort was cheap. Skiing was good (except for Tueday when it rained and everybody got soaking wet) but icy back into the resort itself. Early morning crowds for gondola but I've had that in many resorts. Rila hotel average but good enough - same with the food, not fantastic but edible and plenty of it. Plenty of hot water for bath or shower after a day on the slopes. Ski school was good - Borosport - and my instructor, Tony, was ace although some of the others had mixed reviews. Kids had first skiing holiday and had a great time. If you go Skidooing make sure you get one with lights - mine didn't work and I managed to turn it over on a bend (couldn't see a b****y thing in the dark!). Locals very friendly (and keen to sell you something) Levs, Pounds they don't care.
