Went out to Borovets today (from Sofia) for one day skiing - I thought an update on conditions would be appreciated.
We skied the Markudjik 1 and 2A&2B - outstanding fresh dry snow (about 40-50 cm). Yastrebetz closed below gondola mid-station (lift closed in fact), but decent conditions on the upper part. However, snow quality and depth considerably worse than Markudjik. Also skied the Musala Pathway from top to bottom and it was very good (softer snow at the bottom).
Snow cover goes ...

Snow cover goes all the way down to the resort. Those out there this week should have an excellent time and with a bit of luck - temperatures staying low - next week should also be fine.
