Borovets conditions now

Web cam shows skiing outside the Rila - runs open are only showing at the top of the Gondala lift - anyone know what its actually like at the moment.
What is the condition of the snow thats there at the moment.
Some one please tell me its actually better there than it looks we go on the 28/1

Spoke to friend who is out there at the minute, yesterday.

He says they were skiing away. most of the lifts were open. granted it would be better if there was moe snow, however, they were having a ball.

As pp often says a report from someone there cannot be beaten

what I don't understand is why this very webpage says only 3 pistes are open if everything is supposed to be hunky dory?

I dont think you can beet on the ground info, web pages rely on updating.

We are arrivin 2nd Feb.. People we know got back yesterday... skiing at the top is ok. and learner slopes packed... if you look at the weather on this site they will be able to use the snow cannons Fri / sat...

that 3 pistes is rubbish i was there at weekend they were all open and only 1 lift was shut yatrabetz chairlift

the boro snow conditions are rarely uptodate on this site. The cynic in me would say it's because the site owners are seriously biased towards Bansko due to the amount of property they are marketing there.

the less cynical side would say it's because borosport the people who run borovets are too disorganised to bother updating the info.
