Borovets conditions

Im taking my 14yr old son to Borovets during his 1/2 term next week ( from sat 4th) Somebody please tell me we'll see some snow and actually get some skiing !!!

I hope for you and Elliot, but in fact the weather is expected to be very bad for skiing next week, warm weather and rain
:'End of March / beginning April one must be very lucky to have good snow conditions at this altitude.
This periode it's better to choose the higher resorts in the Alps.

If you look at this web site tomorrow you can gauge more for yourself. It shows the lower main Rila slope. I have seen huge mud patches on this slope in previous years and there's still been excellent skiing on the top and limited skiing on lower slopes.

We often go this week and it can be hot, so the lower and exposed slopes can get slushy in the afternoons. Make sure you take good sun screen with you as the sun is very strong on the top ...

We're going on the 2nd.Aparently there's not been this much snow at this time of year for years!!
Dont worry even if it's a bit bare and slushy on the lower slopes there will still be skiing up top.
For th last couple of years i've been second wk march and had a fab time. All i can say is there is more snow now than there has been in march in the past. Dont worry!!

I have yesterday returned from Borovets and the snow was still fantastic... It has been an incredible week for snow, reportedly the best for years. But it was starting to get very warm meaning the snow on the very lower slopes was melting. However you should still be fine at the top. Skiing and suntans last week - so hope you're as lucky.re: Borovets conditions
i fell in the snow up the top of the gondola and it was above my waist last week.. i'm no expert but surely this snow will last a good couple of weeks at least! good luck. expect very limited skiing, any more will be a good bonus
