Borovets experience

Hi,

On Saturday 21 Feb it turned out a brilliant sunny day with nice skiing.
However it didnt seem that way from the ourset as when I arrived to park my car I withnesed 2 unpleasent things from the local staff and police authorities.

This is what happened. I arrive 10 am on the second car park for the Lift station. The carpark was virtualy empty, I was the second car. And the ticket collector made me move the car in the most far away position as he has chosen to start sorting the cars ...

And the ticket collector made me move the car in the most far away position as he has chosen to start sorting the cars from there. I felt that its pretty humiliating the you pay a steep fee and they order you to be more disadvanteged evet if toy are first in line.I think a reason for that is they dont give a damn about the tourist and another reason could be that they want to leave the cosy close spots for the mugs ( in bulgarian its 'mutri') as they arive last.
While i was getting ready with the ski boots and other gear the carpark came to life it started to fill up fast cause a police man had come to redirect the trafic into it to help with the profit of the local mugs. It didnt matter if you wanted to go further away to the Jasterbetz carpark for instance. He has the authority as uniformed man to stop you so he is doing it to divert you from your destination as he probably is getting % for the help.

So this is Borovets in the not so pretty side. I hope more pple read this and do whatever they can to stop such racketeering and unstopable corruption. As it is not worth while to spoil the last nice things left in Bulgaria.
