Borovets hotel victoria 1st march

Anyone staying in this hotel or stayed before?

My friend has had to cancel....how safe is borovets for a female travelling alone? Never skiied before which makes it all the more daunting!

its a lovely hotel, we stayed there last year. its a bit of a walk , about 12 mins through the forest. As a family we always felt safe walking back and forth to the resort day and night, but maybe i wouldnt have done it alone in the dark. There is normally a taxi outside on a morning to get you there if you didnt want to walk and horse and cart to bring you back.
hope you have a lovely time. we stayed at the rila this year, and i much preferred the victoria.

i stayed there 5 years ago and it was really nice but a bit of a trek to the slopes but taxis were allways outside.The road is pretty well lit

We stayed there 9th-16th Feb this year, and had the best time.

The road route from the Victoria to the centre of Borovets doesn't take much more than 12 minutes either; we didn't find the forest route.

Very friendly hotel staff and other guests, and as others have said, it won't be difficult to get taxis to and fro for 10 lev a time.

Agree on 10 leva with taxi driver before getting in, You will regret the one time you forget to

and there is always the sunny bar on the way back if you walk

I stayed there Xmas 2006 and can echo the sentiments of the others who have stayed there and replied to you.
We met some great people who I still banter with on this and other similar forums.
