re: Borovets in March

We usually ski in Boro in March and have had good snow or fresh snow. The weather is warmer so conditions can get a bit slushy late afternoon on lower slopes, so ski early and sun bathe later Very Happy

I've been going in March every year since 2004 and have always skied every day. You can have a look at my photos at http://www.closingtime.co.uk/.

Over the last couple of years there’s been less snow in Borovets village, but plenty up on the mountains.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Regards,

Gary

Im out that date also - off to Bansko. Have done these week of March twice before with plenty of snow, then last year went a week later - again fine to ski. They then had another dump so I went back out on April 5th! Latest I have been - good snow though of course slushy by afternoon as it was nice and sunny too. Not sure what's what this year - seems poorer than usual for this time of year but who can tell - snow and seasons do not seem to be so predictable these days! Hopefully all ...

Hopefully all will come good, the snow will come thick and fast and BG will have a good season - right through til the end!!

If you haven't booked yet I'd be inclined to wait nearer the time. Borovets isn't that high as resorts go.

We got back last night - Great week, trying to book for March.
Be warned, its been rather warm and lacking in snow on the lower slopes - I've got the bruises to prove it - Lower Green run being used by Hikers.
Gondola closed 1 day and 1 morning in the week due to high winds, but snow is good at the top when the Gondola is running.

i've also booked for 7th march out of manc. staying in an appartment. slightly worried for the begginers but i think i should be ok as i can get higher up (providing lifts are ok).
its all a bit of a gamble unless you pay double and go higher in france/italy.

They have beginner slopes on the top too, so they should be ok.

re: Borovets in March

I was in Boro 2 years ago in March.... no problem. Our instructor said there is normally snow at the top right through till the end of April. I'll be there in the first week of march as first time boarders with a group of 6
