Borovets kindergarten

This will be our first trip to snow ever. We're going to Borovets on the 15th and can't wait. However, my son is turning 4 next Wednesday and we were advised that he may be too young for the ski kindergarten but he is already making plans of how he's going to ski with the long snow shoes and poles. So as not to disappoint him, can anyone advise what the approximate cost is for the kindergarten at Samakov and whether I would need to get a lift pass for him too? I'm not a skiier and I'll be ...

I'm not a skiier and I'll be playing in the snow with my 18 month old doing the baby sitting thing but also want to know whether it would be better or advisable to obtain a ski lift pass before leaving or buy it on the days that we want to go up. Is there anything more than skiing at the top and is it ok to take children up? Sorry first time and need some advice. Thanks.

Sorry you can also put your 18 month in, you can pay for the odd day so you can have some free time.

Our son was with us for our New Year break and he is 4 (August b'day) and went into the Ski School through Hunters and had a wail of a time.

They were excellent with him and they have 2 people there one full on instructor (Vanya) and a helper (Sandra) and this works really well. Joshua got the basics ok and his ski school was timed with ours (as beginners) so 2hrs morning 2hrs afternoon and they took him for a separate lunch etc (just had to give him some money10 lev'ish) and we popped ...

They were excellent with him and they have 2 people there one full on instructor (Vanya) and a helper (Sandra) and this works really well. Joshua got the basics ok and his ski school was timed with ours (as beginners) so 2hrs morning 2hrs afternoon and they took him for a separate lunch etc (just had to give him some money10 lev'ish) and we popped over to wherever he was over lunch to see he was ok and more often than not after a rapid fire breakdown of his mornings events were told to leave him alone and let him ski now as he is a big boy! Smile

There were also a couple of other children of same/similar ages there each day and of course as kids do they all made friends.

So I would recommend it highly, the fall back as well that we were offered was that if he did not get or take to the actual skiing then we could have put him in the Rila Crèche which they would have arranged for us..

So all in all great service and great value so I would recommend using Hunters.

Oh the cost was for a full 6 day ski package so kit hire and all I have described is 162 euros.

Cheers,

Ian
