Borovets lift pass

I am returning to Borovets for the second time this year. I have read that the price of lift passes has risen since last year. I'm being encouraged to organise it here before I go (have been quoted a price of 145 EUROS for ski hire and a lift pass - not including boots as I have those already). Would this be a good idea or can you get it cheaper over there? Last year I read on a discussion board about a guy in a restaurant who would do you a really good deal, and we went to him, but I can't ...

Quoting from the Crystal Ski Brochure 2006 for Borovets.

"Ski pack prices in resort are considerably higher than featured in this brochure, we therefore recommend pre-booking before you travel."

re: Borovets lift pass

Thanks Pete. The brochures would say that though wouldn't they as they want you to get them through them ;-) Last year it was certainly cheaper to buy them in the resort from this guy whose details I can't remember!!

re: Borovets lift pass

I would not risk it buying in the resort, just in case you cannot find "this guy" and end up on your first day paying over the odds or shopping around and wasting the day.
Thats just my opinion

re: Borovets lift pass

You'll pay 280 lev for a lift pass in resort - that's about 200 Euros... no skis included
