Can anyone please tell me what the new run from the top of the gondola back to the resort is like? Is it packed? Is it an easy ski or do you have to skate and push with your poles a lot?
I am going on the 21st and normally ski the reds back down. However, if the legs are burning at the end of the day, a nice green might be preferable.
The upper piece is easy and good to ski for beginners. The last peace is narrow so for a beginner not good to do. But for you as a normal red piste skier its not a problem!!!
Have fun
Just got back from Borovets - the green run shown on the maps that runs from the top of the Gondola all the way down is closed! We looked for ages and eventually found it with a big no entry sign across it!
It's a path that's been made for walkers, it's being made wider for skiiers but isn't open at the moment.

I think it was closed some of the time but not all of the time.
It's a really good run and might be worth jumping an orange fence for. It can be dangerous though because it's narrow and quite curvy, a 5 day skiier from our group was picked up in an ambulance after banging her head on it.
ok. Thanks for the warning. I guess I will have a look. If its closed then I wont risk it as i bet my insurance company wont think it to smart. If its open then great. I also look forward to trying the green from Sithakyo Express 4.
Went through the no entry sign, skiied half way down lovely. But they have cleared all the snow near the bottom then faced a 2 1/2 hr walk in ski boots not fun at all
