After our wonderful skiing break last year in Pamporovo we've gambled with a change of scenery and we arrive in Borovets on the 9th Feb for a week.
Can anyone advise us on:
1. The simplest, safest and cheapest transfer option from Sophia airport?
2. A recommended contact for lift pass, ski & boot hire and lessons?
We are a family with two children, aged 5 and 9, staying at the Flora apartments. Any advice, hints or tips to make it another fantastic Bulgarian skiing break would be ...

They are based in the Flora apts so nice and close. They can do all of the above.
I would get yourself to the White House at the top of the Gondola for the best prices on the slopes. Kas and Bobby who run it also have a new place this year, Bobbys Bar AKA the Golden Chicken which is next to the Gondola base station.

The best skiing IMHO is the Yastrebets runs but everywhere is nice overall.
Don't be tempted by night skiing. I went last year and it was dead icy. I really hurt my back in a tiny fall and almost wrecked the last days of my holiday. Never again.
You may also like to try the skidoos and horse riding if that floats your boat.
I think it is Wednesday night the ski instructors do a show. We ate in a restaurant (white horse I think) which is opposite the end of the jumps - that was good to eat and watch the show at the same time.
Have fun, keep safe and you will have a great holiday.

Thanks for such a quick and thorough response Jez. In your opinion are we best to pre book lift passes etc or is it simpler to sort it out when we arrive?
