Any one going to Borovets 20th Dec? We are going as a family myself husband 2 kids (boys) aged 13 and 9 also taking the parents (they are not skiing) but we are for the first time might I add. So bit worried about what we are letting ourselves in for.
Staying at a private chalet called chalet Tomba I believe its close to the Ski lift.
A few questions I would like to ask all you regulars
What is the dress code in the bars at night?
What does one wear on their feet in the evening?(is it ...

Is there plenty of entrtainment in the evening where kids are exepted( i dont mean nite clubs) are there any taditional bars( with log fires etc.) to keep the oldies happy.

Dress code there isn't one generally jeans t-shirt.Dont wear high heels tell your husband to put his back in the wardrobe
Best thing is timberland boot type shoes. I havent been for a few years so not sure about bars etc. You'll love it prepare to be addicted.

Hi Debbie, first of all at night wear, what you feel comfortable in warm gear,no cleared paths, when I was there it was snow/ice, suppose could get slushi if it warms up, but you dont need wellies if thats what ya meen,
they love kids there and are welcome in most if not all bars we went into, you will love it it was our first time last year, we werent home two wekks and rebooked,
its a riot, cant help with your hotel didnt see it but then wasnt looking,

Take the kids to the Happy Duck, it has a log fire and a live band which plays popular songs that the kids will know (and some they don't). But it's all very family orientated... in a sort of "only because you're on holiday" kind of way. Last year I saw a six year old girl (with her parents) singing along, as happy as larry, to "Who the **** is Alice" by Smoky. Crazy daysre: Borovets on the 20th Dec
