Borovets or Pamporova

hi, I am planning a skip trip to one of the Bulgarian resort in February 2011 but not decided yet about the location. I need some advices from friends with experience. Borovets or Pamporovo.???
I have circa 12 years of ski experience, spend 3-5 days every years in skiing. I am more interested with snow and pist qualities rather than night life-restaurant or hotel quality. a bit of info about service, such as ski bus, shuttle service, lift card etc will help a lot.

Hi Salve, to be fair the Skiing is better in boro but if you are looking fir amazing skiing you may be dissapointed. its preety good for intermediets. Its no three valleys but good fun anyway. the night life is good though and the beer is good value.

good luck my friend.

Hi Salvo, borovets have longer runs and more of them and if you are experienced then you will enjoy the off piste at the top.
As mentioned it is for intermediates but you will be on the cable car with the rest of us going to the top which is not that busy and plenty of reds to choose from.
If you have not been before you will enjoy the lack of fasion the reduced prices and the basic facilities, they dont spruce them up and sell them at a premium price which is refreshing.
It only takes ...

It only takes 45/60 minutes from the airport to Borovets which after a long flight is welcomed as all the others are at least 2-3 hours transfer.
Hope you pick Borovets its my favourite...

re: Borovets or Pamporova

I am out on the 27th of Jan for 4 days I have a house there and go 3 times a year, 2 years ago they were busing in skiers from pamps and Bansko because of no snow there so its a hit and miss.

Lastyear not so good at Boro but I hope this year will change that... hope!!!

France is good Canada is excellent but Borovets is half the price.

re: Borovets or Pamporova

But this Christmas they were moving from Boro to Pamps so its very much swings and roundabouts.
In response to the comment about transfer times too - You can fly to Plovdiv and the transfer from Plovdiv to Pamporovo is around an hour and a half.
