Booze

Hit the pub?

I'm heading on the 19th as well, hoping for snow.

Might see you there.

I was told that if you jump in a taxi, and take a short ride, you can go to a factory (near Samakov ?) that makes kalshnikov rifles. For a small charge, you can fire them on their range.
Never been myself, wanted to try it, but was having too much fun skiing.
Certainly different, not the sort of thing you get chance to do every day.

There's still the snow cannons and there seems to be a reasonable dump of snow due at the end of this week

Are the cannons able to produce enough snow to ensure the slopes are open.
We go to boro on the 19th hope your right about the forthcoming dump.

Swimming - Samokov & Rila both have pools. Careful though as the poolside around the Rila is verrrrrrrrrry slippery!

Ice rink

Bowling Alley

Pubs & Restaurants

Rila Monastery

Samokov Town

Sofia

Trip up the Gondola if its working when no snow as I bet your lad would enjoy the experience and the views good etc.

Horse riding

Pony taxi - a bit smelly but apparently enjoyable

Does this help???
