Borovets ski lessons

We are trying to arrange a family ski holiday to Borovets for Feb. 2007.
We are all complete beginners and have a 7 year old child.
We would like to take ski lessons as a family with our child.
We have been told by a local travel agent that children have to take lessons in children only groups and they are not allowed to join adult groups, and there are no mixed groups.
Does any body know if this is correct? If it is does any body know a way we can take ski lessons in Borovets with our ...

re: Borovets ski lessons

Hello Richard,
If you would like, I can arrange lessons for you and your family, and to have the whole family together.
I live here in Bulgaria and last year organised private lessons for groups of all ages.
If you are interested, let me know.
Regards

re: Borovets ski lessons

Hi dont know if this is any help, we went sking in borovets last year for xmas for the first time, we stayed at the eglika hotel. We booked the ski package as well. I was also concerned as we had a 7 year old and I didn\'t want for him to be in another group to us. We booked through inghams and I spoke to someone who said if you want him to be with you then you just tell the instructor you want to stay together which we did and he had no problem with that at all. And to top the lot kids take to it better than we do. When ever I saw the ski instructor right behind him was our 7 year old, I was usually on my backside. We have booked again for the 20th Jan next year to the same place and looking forward to it. Hope this is some help

re: Borovets ski lessons

Hi, I've been to Borovets on a number of occasions and had lessons from the Borosport School and the samakov schools. (which were both good) When we went at Xmas last year we had private lessons with Radi and Svetla from ski school universe. They will happily take family groups if you wish, their web address is below:
http://skiuniverse-bg.com/Ski%20school%20Tema/index.htm
Found their personal service exemplorary and learnt a lot more in the time we were there.

re: Borovets ski lessons

Hi, My family are planning a trip to Borovets in February 2009. We have a son and daughter aged 9 and 7 years old. We are aware that it may be easier to hire ski lessons privately for the four of us, due to my daughter being 7 years old. How does the price compare to ski school please. Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

re: Borovets ski lessons

Book in advanced as it will cost more on arrival. I found smaller ski schools better smaller groups we used Hunters lodge ski school last week with only 4 in the group.
The boots were all new as well not like some of the old kit I’ve had before.
