Borovets snow

I am getting confused. Most weather sites show little or no snow in Borovets recently, yet people on here are talking about the good snow there. Forecast on metcheck doesn't look good for the week and I am flying out on Saturday. Can anyone who is out there (or just back) let me know what it is really like. As a beginner (last time 10 years ago) should I stick to the lessons or should I go to the higher slopes where the conditions may be better.
Thanks all in advance of your answers.

I'd be grateful to hear this too .. we're also flying out Saturday. We went first week in Feb last year and there was tons of snow - the trees were covered and we had snowfall every couple of days within the week! but from the webcam on this site there is no snow on the trees!

re: Borovets snow

Stick with lessons - the instructors know where the best snow is, and if they offer to take you to a different resort where the snow is better, go for it. They know best!!!

We've just got back. It it was miles better snow when we left then when we arrived.

It was 13 degrees when we arrived with hardly any snow (plenty of ice) and then three good snow day/nights and minus 11 when we left!!

re: Borovets snow

Hope you have better luck than we had last week. The gondola to the top station where the best ski-ing is ran just once day outa six. Hence the 4 man chair was chocka block causing big probs on the slopes.

Good Luck

Get over to the T bar drag. Best ski area in Boro. Normally empty in the afternoon and a must if the top half of the gondola is closed which is very common. If you can ski a red reasonably in control bunk off a few lessons. I probably did more skiing in an afternoon then an average instuctor led group would do in a week. To find the T bar when the gondola is only running to the mid-station. Look for a cut through the trees on the left (very easy to miss). It's located on the second flattish stretch on the main red. From there you hit a road, ski down for 50 meters, T bar on left.
