Borovets this weekend!!

Hi all - am going to borovets on 31st March. When we booked in Jan everyone said "there wont be any snow why are you going so late" - had to cos of school and uni hols and now looks like its gonna be great!! Has anyone just got back? are the roads to and from airport (plovdiv) OK ? will the resort be busy as its school hols? so many questions but not long to wait now.......
Any info would be great - cheers

wont be too busy, as the tour operators are still stuck in last century, and think the season ends mid march, still lucky you the snows about the best of the year, have fun. the roads wont be any problem at allre: Borovets this weekend!!
It looks a bit thin at the bottom of the Rila Slopes. Theres nobody on the slopes and the snow has got a definate brown tinge to it.

i am just back on sat. roads r fine . if u can get up top there is plenty of snow the best this winter, the only problem with the resort many of the pubs and clubs etc have closed for the season.very little tourists around they were only expecting 50 this week at the ski school. so it will be great 4u with empty slopes

Hardly any tourists round, the snow on the top is great but its getting a little thin / non-existent on the bottom parts even with the big dump of last week. Stick to the top runs or Yastrebets 1 to the gondola midstation and you'll be fine.re: Borovets this weekend!!
I'm planning on heading out on the 31st too - do the lift passes get any cheaper on the 1st april?Adam

Came back last week, the top of the gondala snow was better than I have ever seen it any time of the year! You will have loads of snow up there (upto 10ft that I saw) and the mountain to yourself almost!Lucky lucky B*s*a*d!
