we're flying out at 15.10 from LGW to Sofia, should arrive in Borovets about 10.30pm local time tonight. It looks amazing on the webcam today!Just want to wish everyone who is going out to Bulgaria for New Year a great holiday.
May your snow be deep and crisp and you vodka clear and strong.

have the lifts been open today, all the webcams are showing noone on the slopes.... not good! can anyone shed a bit of light? also have all the lifts opened now for the season as alot of the websites seem to contradict each other on the snow forcast, snow conditions and lifts that are open. coming out tomorrow , cant wait now. re: Borovets today
Relax, cracking snow in Borovets. Maybe a little foggy but by 5 local the lifts are closed - ergo no-one skiing

Saturday is change over day, so as a rule only the locals ski, this may explain it!re: Borovets today
Just come home from Borovets today. Saturdays are change over days so that's why there aren't that many skiing. Snow was good, although the first day the slopes were closed due to lack of snow. Then it snowed all day and night. We were very lucky, it snowed most days so we had decent fresh snow, although there wasn't much depth to the compacted snow. By the end of most days the runs were very rocky, or icy. Over all great holiday though. Deffinetly reccomend the alpina bar. Great pub, fab ...
Just come home from Borovets today. Saturdays are change over days so that's why there aren't that many skiing. Snow was good, although the first day the slopes were closed due to lack of snow. Just got back from Boro last night, Snow is great , last Sunday BoroSports told holiday reps not to issue ski passes, BUT BUT BUT lifts were open , you could buy a day pass - THIS IS THEFT.
Prices (due to value of £ and other factors) are SKY high expect to pay £30 (60lev) for 2 pizza 3 drinks and chicken with chips.
If taking your own skis then keep an eye out for the thieves. DO NOT BUY SECOND HAND at the resort as all you are doing is encouraging the trade.
