Here is Fraser's report on conditions in Borovets at the moment. For those of you who don't know Fraser owns a Chalet in Borovets and knows the resort inside out. Lifted from SKIDVD

excuse some of the spelling,this is a combined cyrillic keyboard. so whose the cheeky so and so tha said 2pm was too early!! we were skiing, yep the god news to all those coming here is that Markadjuk 1 and 2 aer open, and the snows brilliant. you can just about ski down to the middle station of the gondola, but some of its a bit rough. there is no skiing over the rila side at all at the moment. We took Lauren up this afternoon and she had a fantastic yime on the nursery slope at the top.
The skiidoo taxis gone out of buisness, yes we have ridden the 'magic carpet' twice now, its like the moving walkways at the airport (been said not going there, saw tannys post about the first flight, yeh if the fog moves) only differance is that this goes seriously uphill. you dont ride it with your skiis on just step on and voila! the only thing is because its set up for a decent snow level you have a bit of a step up to get on to it. what else is new, well its raining at the mo, which is in line with the snow forcast, everyone here is saying its coming tomorrow. theres a lot of internal work going on in the gondola station, theres another atm in the front of the rila, some smart shops in the ground level of the royal plaza (where the ice rink was) new buildings all around, and not enough instructos. lift pass is the same, cheeky sods are even charging full rate with only the gondoal open.
cameras seem to be working, though the one up the street seems to be playing up. most of the restaurants and bars are still 'refreshing' for the new season and there arent many tourists here yet, that all happens on saturday...right off to do some drinking now....chiao.
