Borovets vs Bansko

Hello there,

I was wondering if any one might help me. Organising a group of 12 (beginners and intermediates alike) for Jan 3rd to Borovets (staying in the RILA). Was in Bankso last year, fantastic place but impossible to reach from Ireland without going through the UK. re: Borovets vs Bansko

Snow in Borovets is usually a bit later, should have a good idea around mid december, but even two years ago when the slopes were fit for sheep we still skied every day on a local resort. Rila Hotel is more lively than the Samakov which is the other top hotel, though both have night clubs that go on till 4am. Most bars stay open whilst your still spending money. Enjoy!!

re: Borovets vs Bansko

we went as first time skiers on the 28th december 2002, there was plenty of snow. We are also going out on the 10th jan 2004, so that should give you an indication of what we thought of it.
