Who are you travelling with?

If you are going with Inghams then I can highly recommend their kindergarten but it is only for their guests. Otherwise use the one in the Rila. At the end of the day if he/she doesn't like it then they don't have to go. Also you may well have the opportunity to link up with the kindergarten and join in some of the fun with the younger one too.

The kids will love it and so will you despite the injury.

Final word or warning re: the swimming pools particularly in the Rila - beware the slippery surfaces especially with young ones and a dodgy knee.

my wife and i went last year with our 4 year old, we are very fussy about leaving him at home never mind on holiday, we had booked him in the kindergarden at the rila and it was fantastic, the bulgarien women are lovely, very safety concious and very loving with the children. the usual drill was drop him off at 0900 he would play till 1030 in the secure playroom the ladies would get the children into their ski gear and then take them upto the ski kindegarden for 1 1/2 hrs ski lesson, but no pressure the kids could build snowmen if they wanted. they take them back inside for lunch (we picked him up but he wanted to stay, rotten parents) and then they would repeat the play and ski in the afternoon. it was so good we are going again this year at half term. on a night we went swimming and sledging (small cost) the bars and restaurants all welcome kids. you should have a great time.
