re: Borovets

Good resort. You should find plenty of skiing if you are beginners.have you booked in to ski school as it is cheaper to do it before you go . apres ski is good with plenty of variation and fairly cheap.

Positive response from dbut, hiya dick.

I and many others like him return to this resort year after year because that's what we want. We make our holiday as pleasant as we need it. We know where the youngsters go and we either join in or avoid them.

unfortunately we are giving borovets a miss this season, going in Jan to Canada instead, but we are going to Bansko Feb23, staying at the Lion Hotel.

s.p.

Hello newbie and pumpkin. We will be in Boro at the same time. Where are you all staying? We are in the Samakov this year.

Newbie, you will have a blast. Boro is perfect for beginners. If you need any more info or want to meet up over a beer and say hi just let us know.

In the meantime there are plenty of holiday vids here for Borovets. You may need to register, I cant remember but its nice and safe anyway

Here is one for starters....

re: Borovets

Would much rather get there earlier, we arrive quite late evening, 9ish our time, 11ish over there and of course the first morning the next day is always a bit hectic. Do you know where we have to go for the pre booked ski hire and ski school , is it outside of the rila still or does the samakov do its own thing?

re: Borovets

As far as I know, if you stay at the Samakov then you will use their ski school. Their ski depot is in the hotel so I have been told. I hope this is the case because I didnt really think that BoroSport were as organised as they could have been and we wanted to try the Samakov ski school as an alternative.
