Just returned from a week in Borovets. Kas's updates were brilliant.
Juts to let you know whilst in Borovets we got about 3 inches of snow. Some of the locals are saying its the worst it's been for 20 years.

Beers were quite cheap ~ around 4 levs (£2) a pint and lots of bars.
Good atmosphere and felt really safe.

We stayed at Rila Studios. The hotel is very clean but we had a draft through the balcony door which made it cold. Heard a few people complaining about the barmen ripping them off in the lobby and out prices changed whilst we drank there a few times.
Food is average. Big Momma's do a lovely steak but it's quite expensive but worth the money!
I'd recommend Borovets for first timers only.
I was a first timer and after a day of ski school I got bored and ventured out on the red runs. Be careful though.
All in all a brilliant holiday and great atmosphere.
