re: Borovets

Loads pf places to buy boots, get an instructor to go with you rather than trying to haggle on your own though. I bought mine three years ago in Borovets, c£75 and their great (Salomon).

Do they have the latest seasons stuff in now or are they still a season behind not that bothered about the fashion side of things but i've seen a pair of nordica's in this seasons range that i fancy. Still praying for snow. Wink

re: Borovets

They used to be a season behind but are getting better. Wouldn't count on getting exactly what you want but a tip is get a figure in mind that you would be happy to pay and then ask your instructor if he knows how to source them. Most of the guys there have a network of people that get things, they arrive the next day and you only pay if they are right.
As for snow, can't promise a thing but I'm sure the ski gods will be kind this year!!

Hi bootless. excuse the pun.

Plenty of shops in Borovets with good bargains. Try the shop next to the White Magic which is opposite the Samokov Hotel. Shop around for bargains ( Haggle)

re: Borovets

bootless i like it. Still have my old set but not much consolation cant wait to get out there now just hope there's loads of snow by the time i get there think i'll spend my first day shopping round for boots that should give me the rest of the week the tweak them. I'll try that shop not to bothered about haggling as long as the fitter is good
