I'm in Borovets now preparing for the winter season. The resort is well prepared, apart from the snow. A few changes since last year, 4 man chair lift replacing the 1 man is finished and ready. Lift replacing T-Bar, still work to do. Bonkers has re-opened, as a Bulgarian Chalga Club. New restaurant, Hot Spot selling steak and currys is good, same owner as Mamacitas, and the famous Happy Duck in Sunny Beach.
Finally, all the ski instructors are prepared and anxious to fleece as much ...

Ryan - we arrive this Wednesday at Borovets. Is there enough snow for beginners to board as provided by the artificial snow cannons? And if so will we be able to use the slope? Thanks.re: Borovets

The snow cannons are working on the two slopes in front of the Rila, so there should be enough for begineers.

RyanIs there snow on the top pistes? We are coming out on the 19th and i'm really concerned at the lack of snow!!
