hi mate i have just been it is a nightmare for boarders the runs are poor the lifts are poor but the beer is cheap so that will make up for it in fact dont bother taking your board!!! All the people I know who said that this place was ok were people who had never been anywhere else.

re: Borovets

I got back from borovets on sunday where i had snowboarding lessons. I thought it was great but like jimsey said i have nothing to compare it to.

In my group there were three learners, two who had been once before and three that have snowboarded for years and been to places like New Zealand. All eight of us agreed it was great and there were no complaints from those who had more snowboarding experience.

I had heard about a half pipe but didnt see one.

Have a great time - am sure ...

I was at Boro last year skiing, Going back on the 4th! Very Happy

I wouldnt go back in such a hurry if I was going to ski again.
I skiied the place in two days with a friend. But this year im turning to the dark side!!!
I didnt see any reason why it would be bad for a boarder other than a really good one might get bored quickly.
There is always banter between skiiers and boarders.
It will be fine, dont worry.

Only thing I would say is when boarding or skiing would be:

re: Borovets

As an intermediate boarder, the runs are ok but the apres ski more than makes up for it. As a beginner, there isn't that much to offer and some of the runs cross the more advanced routes and can get very narrow in places.

The instructors are excellent and this is one of the major benefits to Borovets for beginners.

You'll have a great time and you'll be begging for more after the weeks up
