Mamamictas (Mexican opposite the ice rink near samokov) is one of the best Restaurants bargain food at good quality prices open for lunch breakfast and dinner. If you go for dinner at the end of the week there be sure to boook first, they also have a live band there from 9pm and happy hour 10pm-11pm
Try the wine tasting night medium wines excellent food and informative this is also held at mamaictas on a monday night £8
CD's we bought 8 and there fine around £3.50 each orderthem the day before then listen to them and then if you like buy them they dont mind if you dont them you can get them near the Rila Hotel about 3 stalls sell them heard the DVD's are a bit dodgy but we didn't buy them so couldn't really comment on them.
Snow there at the moment is a bit crap but heard the is due some this week according to the taxi driver in broken english.
Taxi cost 10lev around £3.50 to most hotels out the main area.

Any other q's please ask I can try and help

re: Borrovets some help maybe

Borovets is fantastic..... anyone going for the 1st time you need not worry. You will have a ball.

Don't eat at the chinese called The Red Dragon. All 10 of our group felt bad after it and one of us even threw up before leaving the resturant.

Definately try Katy's its ab fab if you like steak. The Alpin next to the 1 man chair is also excellent with loads of choice.

Wish I was coming back out with all of you who are still to go. Sad
