Brorvets Gondola

Out on the 8th Feb, 5th time at Borovets and looking like the worst conditions yet :-S Lets hope it all changes!

Obviously there isn't hardly any snow cover up the top, but is the gondola open for people who want to have a look up the top and do some walking?

Hi Sarah,

The gondola was working last week, and you could get drinks at the top. We walked down the Masala pathway from the top on Friday.

Hi Tom,

How long does it take to walk down the pathway? Might give it a go as I was looking forward to skiing it but looks like that is not going to happen, but fingers crossed.

Hi John,
In the summer you are looking at about 2 hours, it does have some snow on it now so maybe a bit longer. It is very picturesque when walking, you don't tend to notice it so much when you hammer down it when the snow cover is good.

Still got my fingers crossed that we are able to ski it rather than walk but I suppose it could fill in a morning or afternoon if the conditions don't improve.

Thanks all. We are going with 2 people who haven't been to Borovets before so would be nice to at least take them up there for a look/walk

Hi John,

We did it in two and a half hours with to ten minute stops, it was pleasant and I got some good photos that you don,t see when skiing
