For anyone who is interested, there is an article in this weeks Grazia about the children featured in the documentary series. I know there is already a post about helping the children near Pamporovo, but this new charity aims to help all children in state run orphanages. Since the programme was shown Bulgarias government has admitted there is a problem with the way they institutionalise children & have asked UNICEF for help. After medically assessing every child in the orphanage featured in the programme it discovered over a third were suffering dehydration and malnutrition.
The charity aims to raise £250,00 to pay for everything from pyjamas to lon-term healthcare.
