Since the programme was shown Bulgarias government has admitted there is a problem with the way they institutionalise children & have asked UNICEF for help. After medically assessing every child in the orphanage featured in the programme it discovered over a third were suffering dehydration and malnutrition.
The charity aims to raise £250,00 to pay for everything from pyjamas to lon-term healthcare.
