re: Bulgaria 3rd cheapest in the WORLD!!
I agree about the snow fall but at least we know that we are getting better value for money in BG so if no snow we can at least get a good bevy & not have to remortgage the house.
Cristine - surely being the third cheapest is a good thing??? We don't go there to try and spend lots of money! I prefer not to be charged €6 a pint when I can get one in BG for 2LV
It depends what your philosophy is. Mine is you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay 6 Euros for a drink in a fantastic ski resort than 2 Leva in Bulgaria.
There are many magical places both on slope, off slope and in the old town to enjoy and make Bansko magical ....rather than get shafted by the frenchies

I have been to Austria, France, Italy and Germany and enjoyed them all, but last week we had a fantastic time in Pamporovo with friendly people and great value food and drink. You can have it both ways - a 2 Leva drink in a fantastic ski resort, that's why we think the rating is a good thing.
