Things have changed greatly.
1. It is not recommended that you change your money other than at hotel receptions or banks unless you get to know your waiter well.
2. Lifts are being upgraded all the time.
3. Taxi drivers are still as mad as ever.
4. Night life in Pamps is still brilliant, but a bit dearer than when you were last there.
5. Qing for the lifts can be quite slow at peak holiday times!

Anything else, just ask!

I was there myself a fair number of years ago ... Albena in 1988 or 1989. It's a different world now, no 'currency' shops where only tourists could enter, nobody trying to buy your jeans, no lifeguards giving you triple the amount of lev for your sterling, and now there's no enormous measures of vodka for 10p!
