We're two families (4 adults, 4 kids ages 12 and 9) with mixed ski abilities who are just about to book to go to Borovets for New Year. We've never been to Bulgaria before and are just wondering about the snow conditions around this time of year - will there be any???(no guarantees, I know). Can anyone share their experiences of skiing in Borovets so early in the season? Loving following the Forum.....sounds like you have a ball!!!!
We have been for Christmas and New Year 4 times, going for the fifth on Christmas Eve, only had one year with particularly bad conditions - it was actually hot! But everywhere was poor that time. Go with an open mind, its a great place but not France or Switzerland and perhaps not for very advanced skiers who want miles of difficult runs. If you want a fun place for the family to ski with plenty of places to eat and friendly people to meet up with, you will have a lovely holiday - See you ...

Pah Im consider myself an advanced skier and I love Boro!! Ok its not got miles of double Diamond blacks but its got a few reasonable blacks. I easily keep myself busy for a week and if your not 'advanced' there are more than enough to keep you busy. You will have a GREAT time.
You'll have a great time in Borovets! This is my 4th time out and it always offers more than enough in terms of ski time and Après time!
Everyone I have met over the years always speak very highly about their time in Borovets!
Enjoy your time!
